  A rather speculative page from Military History OnLine. An interesting approach from the military side.

  Also a good page by David Nash Ford from the excellent Early British Kingdoms website. Very good for those not familiar with Vortigern, though a little careless in historic detail.

  This is a small dedication to Rutger Hauer in his part of King Vortigern (Mad! Bad!) in 'Merlin', the NBC mini-series.
